Inaugural event brought together Latin American retailers for five-day visit to European sites

Drylock Technologies recently held the first edition of the Drylock Private Label Academy (PL Academy), which brought together representatives from large retail companies in Latin America for a five-day experience in Europe.
Accompanied by the vice presidents of Drylock Brazil, Alex Ornelas and Eduardo Dallagnese, and managers linked to the company’s sales area, representatives from Tenda Atacado, Grupo Mateus, Companhia Brasileira de Distribuição (GPA), DPSP Group, Bemol, RD Group, Arcom, Incopro, São João Pharmacies, Panvel and Pague Menos Pharmacies participated in a trip that started in Spain, with a visit to the Drylock manufacturing plant in Segovia, which is a reference in technology, innovation and sustainability.
The entire trip qualified for the CO2 Neutral 2024 seal from Eccaplan. To neutralize the trip’s carbon footprint and underline our company’s concern for sustainability, trees were planted in the Drylock Forest, in Segovia, and this planting was initiated symbolically by the visitors themselves.
Later on, the representatives went to Portugal, where they participated in a class on retail brands in the European market at Universidade Nova SBE, in Lisbon, which ranks 18th among the best executive training institutions in the world in the ranking from the Financial Times. To complement the content covered during the class, the group visited some stores with a large share of private label – an action guided by a professor from the Nova University and the management of one of the chains visited.
“The objective of the first edition of the Drylock Private Label Academy (PL Academy) was to acquire content and experience to jointly develop, between industry and retail, the private label market in Latin America,” explains Dallagnese.
This action is part of the “Our Brand” campaign, launched this year in Brazil. One of its pillars is to highlight the importance of Drylock in the private label market in Brazil, being a leader in the segment of children’s diapers and products for urinary incontinence.
